Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of LATCH, a free, independent, browser-based editor for the Hologram Microcosm. By using LATCH, you agree to them.
The service
LATCH lets you view, edit, organize, and sync presets for the Hologram Microcosm over USB-MIDI, directly in a compatible web browser. It is offered free of charge and currently works without an account. We may change, add, or remove features at any time.
Not affiliated with Hologram Electronics
LATCH is an independent project built by Microcosm players. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Hologram Electronics. “Microcosm” and “Hologram” are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
Your presets are yours
You retain all rights to the presets and content you create with LATCH. Your data is stored locally in your browser; you are responsible for backing it up (for example, by using LATCH's export feature). Clearing your browser data will remove it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse LATCH — including attempting to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it for malicious purposes, or use it to violate any law or another person's rights.
Your hardware
LATCH communicates with your pedal using standard MIDI messages over USB and does not modify firmware. Even so, you use LATCH with your hardware at your own risk. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of any presets stored on your device.
No warranty
LATCH is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that LATCH will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LATCH and its maintainers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or damage to hardware, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service.
Intellectual property
The LATCH name, logo, software, and site content are owned by the LATCH project and may not be copied or reused without permission, except as allowed by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as LATCH evolves. We'll revise the “Last updated” date above; continued use of LATCH after changes means you accept the updated terms.
