Microcosm Editor Beta
For the Hologram Electronics Microcosm

Your Microcosm, finally has an editor.

LATCH gives the Microcosm a full editor, an unlimited preset library, automatic version history, and one-click sync — free, in your browser.

Free for a limited time.

Features

The Microcosm is brilliant.
Managing it isn’t.

Version history

Every change, saved automatically.

Miss the pedal’s save confirmation and a tweak is gone for good. LATCH keeps a full version history, so you can scrub back anytime.

A long, scrollable LATCH preset library for the Hologram Electronics Microcosm, with tags and favorites
Preset library

Room for every preset you make or import.

The pedal holds just 16 patches. Your LATCH library is unlimited — named, searchable, and ready to sync.

Full editor

Every hidden function, out in the open.

On the pedal, secondary functions hide behind button combos and color codes. LATCH lays them all out — visible, editable, and logically grouped.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is LATCH really free?

Yes. LATCH is in open beta, and for a limited time every feature — including importing and exporting presets — is free with no account required at all.

Will it harm my pedal?

No. LATCH sends standard MIDI messages over USB — the same protocol your Microcosm already speaks. It never touches or modifies firmware.

Which browsers and devices work?

Any Chromium browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc) with Web MIDI, on a desktop computer. LATCH is built for the big screen, so it isn’t available on phones.

How do I connect my Microcosm?

Connect the pedal to your computer with a USB cable and open LATCH. It detects your Microcosm over MIDI automatically — no drivers, no setup.

Can I edit presets by turning knobs on the pedal?

No. The Microcosm doesn't send parameter data over MIDI when you turn its knobs, so LATCH can't read live changes from the pedal. Create and edit presets in the editor — sync goes from LATCH to your device, not the other way around.

Do I need an account?

No. During the open beta, every feature — including importing and exporting presets — is available without creating an account, for free or otherwise.

Can I back up or move my presets?

LATCH automatically snapshots your changes as you work. You can also export your presets as files for backup — no account needed during the open beta.

Does it work offline?

Once the editor has loaded, editing works without an internet connection. You’ll just need to be online the first time and to sync any future updates.

Is LATCH made by Hologram Electronics?

No — LATCH is an independent project built by Microcosm players. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Hologram Electronics.
